If you are tired of lugging around Cheerios, crackers and pretzels, this is the snack for you! These Apple Oat Balls are made with oats, applesauce, nut butter and a drizzle of honey. Keep them in the freezer, throw them in your bag, they travel well and taste great. And, kids love to mix and roll them!

Ingredients (Makes 18-20 small balls)

1/4 c sunflower seed butter (or any nut butter)

1/3 cup applesauce (unsweetened)

1 cup oats (regular, old-fashioned, not steel cut or quick cooking)

1 tsp honey

1/2 cup unsweetened grated coconut

Sprinkle of cinnamon

(You can also add in raisins, mini chocolate chips, a spoonful of raw cacao powder)

Directions

1. Wash hands and clean the workspace.

2. Add all of the ingredients into a bowl. Mix well.

3. Using slightly damp hands, roll into small bowls.

4. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator or freezer.
